The Aam Aadmi Party has released its manifesto ahead of the Delhi Elections 2025. This manifesto focuses on the middle class and takes on seven major demands required from the Central government. winzir

Among the seven demands, AAP has guaranteed tax-free health insurance and free treatment for senior citizens.

Along with healthcare, the focus of AAP's manifesto remains on education, tax rebate and pension.

Announcing the manifesto, former Delhi Chief Minister and national convenor Arvind Kejriwal has accused other political parties of treating the middle class like an "ATM for the government."

During its tenure in Delhi, the AAP government has announced several initiatives for the middle class, like the Sanjeevani scheme, said Kejriwal.

As per the AAP leader,fhm63 this scheme is aimed at "providing better healthcare and welfare for the elderly in Delhi." Kejriwal also dismissed the criticism of such schemes as "frebies" and stated that the money of taxpayers should be spent on the welfare of the taxpayers.

"The middle class in India is being crushed under the burden of taxes. They are victims of tax terrorism, paying huge taxes but receiving little in return. This group is not on the agenda of any political party," the former CM said.

Increase in education budget from 2% to 10% and regulate the fees of private schools.

Introduce subsidies for higher education to make it accessible for middle-class families.

Increase health budget to 10% and remove tax on health insurance.

Raise the income tax exemption limit from Rs 7 lakh to Rs 10 lakh.

The Kizhakkambalam-born hockey legend was at his best, protecting India’s goal and stole the limelight with his exceptional keeping abilities. 

"I couldn't stop my tears. I have never seen such performance in many years and now I am convinced that this team can bring us the Olympic gold after 44 years," the former India skipper said.

Remove GST on essential commodities.

Introduce a pension plan for senior citizens.

Provide a 50% concession for senior citizens in railways.

Delhi will head to the polls on February 5winzir, 2025, across all 70 seats in a singe phase election. The counting of votes will be held on February 8, 2025.
